Nessebar

An ancient town on a rock peninsula, on the UNESCO World Heritage list for its medieval churches and wooden Revival houses. Cross the causeway in the early morning before the coach parties arrive.

How do I get from Burgas to Nessebar?
Buses run regularly from the Yug (South) bus station next to Burgas railway station, take roughly 40 minutes and cost single-digit lev. Buy the ticket at the counter or from the driver; keep coins for the return.
Can I visit a nearby town between Eurovision shows?
Yes. Semifinal and final nights start in the evening, so a morning departure and mid-afternoon return leaves plenty of margin. Pomorie is the safest choice if you are nervous about timings.
